Dr. Harry Acevedo was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. After graduating from medical school, he completed an internship year in General Surgery, he then went on to complete a 4-year residency in Anesthesiology from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus. Following residency, Dr. Acevedo went on to complete a fellowship in Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and Transesophageal Echocardiography at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. The importance of a warmer climate and being closer to family led Dr. Acevedo to Florida where he practiced Cardiothoracic Anesthesia for 2 years in private practice. He then decided to move into the academic field by transferring to Tampa and becoming associate professor at the department of oncological sciences at USF and full time Anesthesiologist at Moffitt Cancer Center.
Dr. Acevedo always had a passion for art and science so throughout the years Dr. Acevedo had long been training with world renowned plastic surgeons, cosmetic dermatologists and master injectors in the aesthetics field. After being in the clinical hospital-based anesthesia scene for nearly 5 years. Dr. Acevedo decided to open up his own aesthetics/cosmetic medicine practice incorporating all the modern scientific based techniques while adding a multimodal approach that he has learned throughout the years. He is a skilled artisan and scientist who truly offers a complete medical aesthetics experience to his patients as one of the few one to one provider in the field. His charisma, bedside manners and love for education can be seen with just one visit to his clinic. Dr. Acevedo brings a refreshing and unique approach to medical aesthetics, creating a pain free, safe and trusting care to his patients.
